The K-BOX® technology
Most of the differentmethods for shaping plastic, such as injection moulding, need tools to be produced and this is where a lot of capital is invested. Minor modifications to the product often require the manufacture of new tools.
K-BOX® technology processes plastics purely mechanically. Highly developed CNC milling machines form plastic sheets so precisely that they can be assembled together without any problems after further processing [ bending… ]. This results in housings that correspond 100% to the prototype and, depending on the quantity, are often considerably cheaper than conventionally produced plastic housings.

Further advantages
K-BOX® technology makes modifications to the product quick and easy. If another cut-out is required, for example for a switch or a cable socket, this can be done without tooling costs.
By assembling individual components, the material mix can positively influence the design of the product.
In the development process, the assigned team can impress with an optically perfect product, since prototypes can also be produced quickly and without great effort.
Experience and competence at mentec®: Due to the very large number of housing forms we’ve already produced, our employees can answer our customers’ questions and offer advice and action, including during the development of the product design.
For our customers’ white label products, our enclosures can be redesigned optically without great effort. This allows you to position these products more broadly in the market.

Specially adapted
This all-in-one housing contains a monitor and the EMC coating shields electromagnetic radiation. The housing openings allow optimum cooling and are precisely matched to the cable sockets.
With K-BOX® technology, we adapt your housing exactly to the technology you have designed – not the other way round!
Shapes and colours
Our K-BOX® technology includes many different shaping processes. This enables us to produce even complex designs in small quantities without tool manufacture.
The material combination of different plastics and acrylic glass shown here has been chosen with great care. This has led to an optically successful result that meets the desired and functional requirements for the materials.
